The residency will cover the costs of a 7 night stay at the Sea Ranch Lodge with your lodging and food (up to a $75 per diem) expenses covered.

Residents determine the exact dates (subject to room availability) of the residency to ensure the time is maximally valuable for them. The aim is to reduce friction and make it as easy as possible for people to get away.

The selected dates need to be within 4 months of being awarded. There should be some urgency.

Anyone. All ages, all backgrounds. Technologists, Writers, Artists, Scientists, Academics, Entrepreneurs, Musicians, Students, etc. may all make productive use of a week of focus.

Transportation costs are not covered. Any miscellaneous costs that you incur.

No. The residency is for individuals. There will be no group activities, programming, or networking during the week of focus.

We ask you to share a short write-up of your project and your experience. This helps create accountability and helps inspire others.

No. Apply any time. We want to make this as accessible as possible.

Decisions are made on a rolling basis based on the quality of the application. There is no minimum number of residencies per year.
